Newport’s Colony House, built ca 1738, is the fourth oldest state house still standing in the United States and a National Historic Landmark. The Newport Historical Society is the steward for the Colony House, overseeing its maintenance and use as a museum and venue for select small events. Saccoccio & Associates was retained to evaluate the condition of this historically significant property, make recommendations for restoration and produce the necessary construction documents for interior and exterior rehabilitation. The on-going restoration project is now if Phase 5.
