Newport Airport

Saccoccio & Associates was retained to design renovations to the state-owned Newport Airport. Located on Aquidneck Island, the airport is two miles from downtown Newport and is used by small private aircraft, sightseeing tours and skydiving groups.

The renovations included extensive repairs to the metal building that housed a hanger and the airport offices.

SA designed new private office space, a public waiting area, bath rooms and a break room. The renovations included new windows, a new covered entryway, exterior grading, brickwork and unique features like a parachute packing area and a computer testing area for use by area pilots.
