This new facility design by Saccoccio & Associates for URI’s campus-wide food service is comprised of a food distribution warehouse, bakery and administrative offices. The facility uses” Smart Green” sustainable design elements:

  • Siting for optimal sun
  • Skylights
  • Day-lighting system – no artificial light during day
  • Low-E windows
  • Increased insulation.
